Obey them!
Here are the ground rules for Sanctuary. Each rule must be followed in order to keep membership, and to prevent warnings and bans.

First let me announce something. In order to post and reply on this board, you must first REGISTER. If you are under 13, you must get your parents permission before I can allow you access to the board.


Registering

When you click the register button, you will be brought to an agreement page. Read and review it carefully. Down at the bottom, there will be two links. One is for the age of thirteen and above, and the one below is for under the age of thirteen. And a final one of not agreeing to the terms. Depending on your age, click the appropriate link. If you click on I do not agree to the terms, you will not be able to register.

Clicking on either under the age of 13 or above will bring you to signup. Fill in the required spaces, and enter in the code you will see in the image below. If you cannot see the code, reset your internet security settings to allow images and make sure java and JavaScript and the appropriate cookies are enabled. If you still have problems, email me. I will need your age and a member name you’d like to have. I will then set up your account and email your password. When you receive your password, log in, and immediately change your password.

Do not register two member names. If there has been accident where two have been registered to you, notify me immediately and tell me which member name you’d like to have. Do not register a very long name such as Fredman0101918181%^FSA. Keep the member name simple.


Basic Commandments.

Rule 1. No trolling, spamming, or fighting among members or staff.

Rule 2. Respect all members of the board. No flame wars.

Rule 3. Please do not beg me to become a moderator. If I decide someone should be a moderator I will notify them and ask them.

Rule 4. Keep it down on the cussing. I don't mind cuss words, but do not cuss in every single sentence.

Rule 5. If you have a problem with a member, PM them about it. Try to work it out amongst yourselves. Do not post it for the entire board to see. If you are still having a problem, I will suggest a chat room in which you and the person and I and possibly France will sort this out.

Rule 6. Do not flame members for their beliefs or writing ability or drawing ability. Constructive criticism is good however and should not be mistaken for flames.

Rule 7. Do not post links to the following: Viagra, Sex enhancements, pornography (child and adult.) Cigarettes and alcoholic store sites, drug manufactures, etc.

Rule 8. Do not lie to members to gain popularity. Also, if you are new to this board and do not know anyone, do not post personal information. We want to protect all members on this board.

Rule 9. You may double post, but please be respectful. In most cases, if you post something and wish to add something in the span of five minutes or ten minutes, you can edit your initial post. However, be careful that when you do double post, you're not double posting accidentally. There is a difference between accidental posting and incidental posting. ~ Accidental Double Posting~ Posting twice of the same topic and same thread right under the other. ~Incidental Double Posting~ Adding onto the first post underneath it to talk more about it.

Rule 10. Do not post personal conversations from P.M. and instant messengers and emails on this board, unless you are given permission by the other party (Suggested by a member).

Rule 11. Members do not have the right to delete topics or threads unless they are an administrator. In fact, often the admin won't even delete a topic or thread unless it involves the selling of drugs, pornography, or tobacco and alcohol, etc.

Rule 12. Do not give your password out to anyone.

Rule 13: Do not post threats against members by threatening to display public or private information about them. I also do not want to see threats about hacking into someone's account or anything of the like. Such threads or topic will be deleted or edited, and the member warned or banned.

In the event that any law should be broken, I will take evidence from the board and use it to trial a member. This will occur between me and the member who broke the rules. However if banned for one to two weeks to permanently, the ban will be announced on the board within any thread or post where the member broke the rule(s).

I do understand that accidents can occur, and I will pm the member about it. The only way a person has to fear being on trial, is if they deliberately disobey the rules again and again. But I don't think anyone here will do that, so you have nothing to fear. ^_~


Ranks

The ranks are listed as follows:

Stranger 0-49 posts.
Friend 50-99 posts.
Dweller 100-149 posts.
Star 150-199 posts.
Sun 200-249 posts.
Devotee 250-299 posts.
Fanatic 300-349 posts.
Family 350-399 posts.

When you hit 400 you can get a custom title.


Image Uploading
Image uploading is not allowed. Please remember to link to images from a place that allows you to link. Remember direct linking is not allowed unless allowed by the site owner. Use an image hosting such as Photobucket, Deviant art, or another place that allows direct linking.


Images

The old image size rule has been eliminated now that there is a hack to keep the images from becoming so large that it causes lagging or causes the board to scroll sideways. So now you may post whatever size images you want.

When choosing an avatar from another place, make sure the size is 150 (height) pixels by 100 (width) pixels. There are also avatars you can choose from the board if you wish.


Signatures

Signatures have a character setting at 1000. Do not post large images in your signature. The image rule applies to images used in the image rule. Images must be 430 width by 530 height in pixels.


Layout

There are layouts you can choose for how the appearance of the board looks to you. By simply clicking on preferences, and then choosing board layout, you can select which layout you prefer. After selecting your choice, click on submit and refresh the board to view the new appearance.
